Most of the best paintball fields are pretty green spaces. It is great for an authentic battle field with diversions and things to hide behind, not to mention for grass and dirt to crawl through.
Still, crawling around in the dirt and grass can occasionally have it’s draw backs. I know it’s hard to believe but some of these places in their quest for authenticity end up getting something to make things a little too real. That something is poison ivy.
If you thinks those stinging welts that your competitor’s paintball tanks provided are bad, wait until you have a full on itchy poison ivy break out. No one wants to be a stick in the mud about playing a game, especially when that game is paintball so there are a few things you can do to protect yourself and luckily they will help protect you from bruising as well.
First of all long pants and long sleeves are definitely the way to go. This will leave as little exposed skin as possible and it will soften the blow of any shots that have been unloaded from someone else’s paintball air tanks. If you’re going to keep low, better to keep covered.
